English Court gown

 A very rare occassion to snatch this stylish monstrocity! ;-) A real showstopper, English Regency style!

Made  for a friend, for one event, as i wanted to make one of these for the Regency and Romantic Dressmaker book.

 My friend wore it once, for a specific event, and doesn't need it anymore  - and I don't do court style events ( i did wear it for a photoshoot), so it is up for grabs at a discounted price.

 Over 15m of various silks went into it!

Features:

 *petticoat in white silk , lined wiht plain cotton, decorated wiht metallic fringe. 18th century style, with the volume pleated to two tapes - it will work for several sizes easily. design to be worn over big panniers. shoulder straps can be sdjusted easily too.

* drapery in  rare silk lame , decorated with metallic trim - a wrap over stule, size very flexible.

* a bodice, wrap style, with white taffeta plackard - can be adjusted for a bigger or smaller size in front,  back extending into a very long train, all lined with white silk, and decorated with metallic trims. sleeves with  silks and cotton embroidered lace.

* a length of ribbon for a sash

 The  headdress is included - but the panniers are not!

Spare bits of the lame will be included for any alternations.

 Sizing = here shown on size 18 and 12 - the bodice is too big for me, but by wrapping and pinning tighter, it worked. The bodice does have hooks and bars , these can be moved easily.

 the inside underbodice in linen is laced tight on my frind - overlapped and pinned on me.

 bodice fluuly laced is 40" (102cm) underbust, 44" (112cm) chest, the back at high waist is 18" (46cm), between the shoulders 15" (38cm), 7" (18cm) long. the overlap fronts are  each 20" (51cm) inches long.

 The petticoat length in front is  47" (119cm)- please remember it will be worn at high waist/ underbust level.
