1780-90s pierrot jacket

 A  stylish  late 18th century pierrot jacket in  fetching striped silk grosgrain.

 I made it a few years ago and wore it twice - sadly with my new stays it is a bit too short waisted! ( i covered the difference with a belt, but ideally woudl fit better a persoin with a slightly shorter body).

  This listing is for  the jacket only - not the petticoat ( though i can make one to measure, please enquire if interested!)

 Features:

* rare grosgrain silk, stripes perfect for the period

 * lined with cotton sateen

 * made with machine seams inside, outside all finish by hand

* decorated with a pleated ruffle and linen picot braid

 * closing with hooks and eyes in front

 * a length of velvet ribbon used as a belt included ( no buckle)

 The hat with matching decoration is also available -  please send me a line. it is one of my earlier hats, so not perfect - the price would be £50, plus postage - please bear in mind it is huuuuuge!

 Jacket's measurements:

 closes at waist: 33" (84cm)

 across the back at shoulder blades: 13" (33cm)

 armpit to waist length: 7" (17.5cm)

 sleeve length: 24" (61cm)

 biceps circumference: 14.5" (37cm)
