1640 gentleman's suit

 A stunning men's  suit from the English Civil war era - i made it for my husband several years ago and he wore it twice - and then it sat in the cupboard!

 So used, but in excellent condition, no signs of wear,

 Really deserves too be worn and seen more often than once in a decade....

 Features:

* made in light pure silk taffeta 

* decorated throughout with silver metallic lace

* handmade buttons: thread wrapped with silver decoration

* handstitched buttonholes

 * doublet - lined with two different silks, soft, - no padding, a 1640-50 model

 * sleeves with front seam open to show off the chemise

 *breeches fully  lined with linen

*fly closure with decoratie buttons

 *leg cuffs closing with threaded in ribbon so easy to regulate the fit

*pocket on left side

  Accessories ( hat, shirt, boots, gloves, sash) not included.

 chest closes at 45", loose higher waist 40" (102cm)

 sleeve length 24"(60cm)

back width at the shoulder blades 16" (40cm)

 breeches waist : 37.5" (96 cm) - the waistband has been roughly taken in, if undone it will add another 2 inches

leg length 29" (74cm)

 thigh circumference 36" (92cm)
