Medieval dress, Burgundian, 15th Century

  A real showstopper!

An extremely posh late medieval dress suitable for re-creating a high status noble lady from  the second half  of the 15th century.  

 This one is reversible too - wear it on the gold brocade side  for a formal celebratory occassions, or on the blue side for a more informal look - 2 gowns in one!

 Features:

• Absolutely breathtaking gold/yellow silk damask  with a big pattern perfect for the era. It was discounted from a rather hefty price due to some  faults in the fabrics, but it still cost me over £50 per metre and I have used over 8 metres for this gown.

• Lined in cheaper, lightweight silks  in kingfisher blue and grey - this fabric has been damaged by the drycleaners, so i got it as a bargain - not suitable for top layers but perfect for linings! the price reflects that

• handstitch finish

• V collar in front, and back, depending on the wearer and the style required, can be worn off the shoulders or pinned to the kirtle

• voluminous, with a train 

• Size 10-18, chest up to 48" (122cm), length in front 60" (152cm). 
• sleeves - biceps 15." (38cm), 

• Easily adjusted to the size with a belt.
